Area: HHP (Mobile Software) Application Development
Position: Senior Software Engineer

Activities

• Participate actively in software (SW) development activities, specifically application development
• Guide technically other engineer to accomplish project goals
• Along with Project Manager, coordinate and perform official SW release to other areas
• Assist management team by following and reinforcing company policies, procedures and functions related to SW development
• Participate in all SW development phases, developing and recommending measures to improve processes, performance and efficiency
• Update and provide technical information to other teams
• Generate technical documentations and reports regarding assigned projects
• Assist Project Manages in keeping team motivation and focus on project result
• Share and foster sharing among team members and other teams of the organization

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering from a top tier Engineering University. Post graduation (Specialization, Master’s or Doctorate) in same area is a plus
• Over 5 years of experience working with SW development projects, preferably in R&D environments
• Strong experience with embedded / mobile SW development
• Strong experience in Java and C/C++ programming languages
• Solid knowledge of Telecommunications and mobile technology protocols (e.g., GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, 3G, LTE)
• Solid software process skills, with involvement in all SW lifecycle phases – requirements, design, development, implementation, debugging and maintenance
• Experience working with compilers; emulators; simulators; debuggers; and configuration management, defect, change and version control system
• Experience working in Scrum / Agile SW development teams
• Knowledge of mobile platforms / operating systems, i.e., Android, Windows Phone, Bada, Symbian
• Ability to think creatively and demonstrate a high degree of initiative in coming up with innovative ideas and solutions
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; team player
• Good oral and written communications skills
• Proficiency in office automation suites (MS Office) and OS’s (Windows, Linux)
• Fluency in English is mandatory (speaking, writing, reading and listening) Korean or Spanish language knowledge is a plus
